Youth Theatre
As a company we produce unique, beautiful and inspiring theatre pieces that we write, devise and compose. Together, with the children’s theatre we have over 100 amazing young people who have extraordinary talents. We believe that anything is possible.
The buzz of Children’s Theatre is over and the doors are opened once again to our Youth Theatre. They enter bringing with them a whole new wave of enthusiasm and respect of each other. For our members Shed@ThePark is a safe place for them to express themselves and to be recognised as individuals. To be valued and acknowledged for their talents.
Our space is about making everyone feel valued and as our members often move from Children’s theatre into Youth theatre they continuously shine when working with each other. The Youth theatre are challenged, encouraged, supported and are able to take ownership over the sessions, leading their journey through the arts.
Ideas are often flying around the room during workshops, songs are composed whilst dances are being choreographed and performance skills are learnt. The Youth theatre come to take part in our workshops, perform in our productions, and form the heart of our company.
Who is involved?
Everyone aged between 12-16 years old can come and join in.
Where and when?
The sessions are run every Wednesday during term time between 7.30 – 8.45 pm at Chesham Park Community College. There is a termly subscription of £20 per child and £15 for siblings. If this should prove difficult for any family, please write or speak in confidence to Lyndsey Gonzalez-Romero on 01494 782066, or email maggie@shedatthepark.co.uk as we would not want any child to miss out due to financial considerations.
