Children's Theatre

Shed@ThePark strives to be a pioneering, passionate theatre company which values everyone; embraces everyone thus inspiring excellence in the Arts.

Every session is a buzz of energy, fun and excitement as the children dash into the state of the art studio space ready for their weekly session with Shed. There are big smiles on their faces as they greet all their friends: open and ready to support everyone who they work with.

Our sessions are run with our inclusive beliefs behind each and every workshop whether it’s dance, drama or music. The children come to take part in our workshops, perform in our productions, and form the heart of our company. We nurture our young members and see them constantly blossoming with talents that even they did not believe possible.

One week we may follow Alice in her mysterious wonderland meeting all of the fantastical characters and the next we visit the circus with painted faces, ready to get trained in becoming clowns. Music, dance and drama take us all on an adventure where the imagination leads our journey. The children are an integral part of inspiring our original scores and scripts that the artistic team create.

Our Youth theatre members also have the opportunity of becoming Children’s support, working with the younger members of our company, learning about theatre production, performance skills and becoming role models for others.

Who is involved?

Everyone aged between 7-11 years old can come and join in the Children's Theatre - for older children please consider our Youth Theatre.

Unfortunately, we have got a waiting list and to expand, we need more space, more resource, more funds. However, places do become available in so please complete an application form and send it in.
